Snafuperman (Mar. 1944)

In this toon from 1944, Private Snafu (also known as Snafuperman!) learns the importance of having correct information, and of studying your field manuals.

Snafu, per his usual moronic self, starts out this toon partying down in the barracks while his fellow soldiers attempt to get some studying done.

He has other plans, however, and our resident Technical Fairy (1st class) gives him the means, by turning him into...

SNAFUPERMAN!

...Faster than a speeding bullet, and just about as bright, Snafuperman proceeds to use his new-found super powers to take out the Axis evil. Although it doesn't exactly go as planned.
